Brett has been an actor and a stand-up comedian since 2002. He has worked with local radio stations as a promotion assistant as well as on-air with his character of Brett the Irish Com’Mc, a lovable, charismatic, Guinness-drinking, kilt-wearing bagpipe player (yes, he really does play the bagpipes).
He’s also performed at the Morris A. Mechanic Theater in Baltimore where he opened for Gallagher in addition to the Comedy Factory in Baltimore and the Riot Act Comedy Club in Washington, DC. In 2005, Brett placed in the Finals in the Funniest Person in Baltimore contest as well as the semi-finals two years in a row. He has appeared in a television commercial for the “Mickey, Amelia & Spiegel” morning drive- time radio show in Baltimore as a beaver and as Brett the Irish Com’Mc.
He has also appeared on KMS on HFS morning show, Mickey, Amelia & Spiegel on 98rock,the Ed Norris show, and the Back room radio show. He was a spokes model for CBS radio for 105.7 in Baltimore.
Brett is a founding partner in the Heathens of Comedy as well as an originator of the Irish Hooligans O’Comedy Tour, both of which are designed to support local comedy talent.
In 2007 Brett was hired as an extra for the Ridley Scott directed film “Body of Lies” and staring Russell Crowe. He starred in a production of Finnegan’s Wake interactive dinner show in Atlantic City at the Showboat casino until the end of November of 2007. He landed the role as “Barty” whitch was made just for him based his character of “Brett the Irish com’Mc” .
